In the world of high school athletics, you constantly search for competitive advantages.  It is vital that you  invest in a leadership style that is ideal to build your community.   My name is Yvan Salazar and I am an Educator and Athletics Coach in San Antonio, TX.  I aspire to contribute servant leadership to my community.  In the pursuance of my career goals, I have identified with a leadership strategy that pours into a staff and builds a community. 

What is Servant Leadership? 

The leadership style made popular by Robert Greenleaf emphasizes the growth of contemporaries and staff through celebrating diversity, building trust, fostering leadership growth, and being selfless to the core.   This type of leadership culture is celebrated by some of the most successful business leaders and entrepreneurs in the world.  My contention is that this leadership style is vital to the fabric of a coaching.  The stories on this blog will provide a glimpse of coaches in the Greater San Antonio, community serving as an exemplar of servant leadership.
